Meet the Pastors!

Pastor Dan Miller, Lead Pastor

Pastor Dan returned to Clarks Green in August 2014, after 21+ years as senior pastor at Back Mountain Harvest Assembly in Trucksville, PA.  From 1987 to 1993, he was the Youth/Assistant Pastor at Clarks Green, leading a youth group of about 50 teens, when he felt God’s call to pastor Back Mountain Harvest Assembly in Trucksville, PA (then called Trucksville First Assembly of God). Under his leadership, the Trucksville church grew from 25 people to hundreds of folks, now providing support to the community through recreation and assistance for all aspects of daily living. Pastor Dan has now followed God’s call back to Clarks Green (in August 2014), and looks forward to experiencing all that the Lord has in store for Clarks Green Assembly. He is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God. Pastor Dan and his wife, Deb, have been married for 36 years, and have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Michael & Denise Warner, Worship Pastors

Denise began singing & playing piano in church at the early age of 5!  Along with her 3 older brothers, she was also a member of the Madeira Family Gospel Singers throughout the 1970s-80s.  It was over the piano at her father’s church that she & Michael met for the first time.  By this time, Michael (now in his mid-20s) was already a music veteran, having won 1st place in a national songwriting competition at age 15, and as a member of a popular rock band that would go on to have a national top 10 hit. Under the Holy Spirit’s conviction, Michael eventually left that band – devoting his musical abilities exclusively for the Lord’s purposes.  A few years later, Michael and Denise began their journey together as husband and wife.

Michael and Denise served as church worship directors in NEPA for nearly 14 years.  During this time, Michael began teaching Worship Team Seminars and eventually founded NOIZ! Youth Worship Camp.   Together with Denise, they founded the A.W.E. Band – a Christian Contemporary recording act, best known for their Pro-Life anthem “Curse of Blood.”

Since August, 2014, the couple has served jointly as Worship Pastors here at CGA – with Denise as primary worship leader and Michael directing the team musically. They are the proud parents of 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren.  Denise also teaches piano from her home studio.
